Cisco SPA514G customization in main page removal

Dear All ,

I would like your enlightenment ,

I have one cisco SPA514G unlocked bought from a friend of a friend.

I have a question how can I remove this "customization" thing said to be the name of some provider ... My store bought phone has nothing at that filed is there a way to make the phone " virgin" again ?

But I have all admin rights ( AKA no password or anything) and works ,

so is this something that would affect the functionality of the phone or ? i should just ignore it ?

Thank you in advance

Alex

Hi,

It seems that  you can't remove this customization. The so called "Customization" means there is customized 'factory default configuration' burned inside the device.

Hi,

My name is Iliya Gatsev from Cisco Technical Support Team.

Have you tried to reset the phone to factory settings ?

Dear Sir ,

Yes I did reset it before doing anything else ,

and some settings wore still there like provisioning of some sort ,

is there a way to completely re-flash the whole FW ? (including the settings ? , since I have admin access yes some people get locked phones and try to find the passwords using the TFTP servers and XLS files but I have admin access I just need to remove anything and everything foreign to this phone )

Thank you

Dear  Mr.Iliya

After doing some research ... If I push my own configuration though "Provisioning" it may change to "Custom" but non the less this does not affect the functionality of the phone , I've tested it and it's fine both with Cisco an FreePBX configurations ....

Thank you for taking the time to answer to my questions ,

thank you in advance
