Attempted to apply latest patch and collector didn't update.  Tried to logon and received "authentication token manipulation error".  Restarted VM and now is unreachable.  VM Console show OS requesting ip address.  Any suggestions?

Hello,

Good day to you!

I have acknowledged this post.

Could you please let us know, through which method the collector was being updated?

thanks & regards,
Devashish Bourai.

Hi Devashish,

It was through the GUI.  We recently were contacted by Cisco and they assisted migrating to version 2.10 due to a security issue.

Hello,

We recommend Upgrading the collector through the CLI ( Transfer method / Manual Upgrade). Through this method you will be able to apply both the patches.

To get the patch, you can visit - software.cisco.com ( for upgrade patch).

Link to the upgrade guide- CSPC Upgrade Guide (cisco.com)

Let us know, if this works for or if anything else is required.

Thanks & regards,
Devashish Bourai.

Hi Devashish,

The CSPC collector appears to have been reset and the console prompt is asking for ipv4 addressing.  It looks like it needs to be reconfigured again and probably repeat the migration from our old collector.  Can you or your team assist with this or do we need to purchase Smartnet for the CSPC collector that is running as a VM.  If so, what would the part number be?  Thanks.

Hello,

Please check your Personal Message as well, i have sent the information.

The collector has been crashed, hence you have Re-deploy the collector again.

For the Upgrade part, We recommend the CLI ( Transfer / Manual ) method. In this way, it works perfectly fine, and both the Jeos Patch and SP patches are applied properly.

For migration, we have the CSPC migration guide to migrate the data.

Re-deploying the collector, will give you a fresh start and after the set-up, you may add your settings and devices accordingly.

Thanks & regards,
Devashish Bourai.
