Upgrade from CSPC 2.7.4 to 2.7.4.4 stuck in initiate

Hi,

I had configured the automatic updates, but it never worked. Then I started the manual upgrade from GUI by clicking the "Upgrade Now" button. After several days I noticed the status was still in Initiated. I tried with "service adminshell restart" from root shell, without success.

My problem is that I have not the option to download the JeOS patch(es) separately and then use file transfer program like WinSCP to the collector.

Which are the options left I have, in order to install manually the patch 2.7.4.4 using the "download" command from admin shell?

The current JeOS Version  is    : jeos-30.0.4-0-lnx64

The 'check update' states "Optimal JeOS:       jeos-30.0.4-4-lnx64"

Are the following steps/commands the right way to manually do the upgrade in this case?

admin# download jeos-30.0.4-4-lnx64

admin# download sp-30.0.4-4-0-lnx64

admin# apply jeos-30.0.4-4-lnx64

admin# apply sp-30.0.4-4-0-lnx64

admin# show version -d

Hi Daniel,

No need to execute download command for sp and jeos separately , the command

admin# download sp-30.0.4-4-0-lnx64  - Downloads both sp-30.0.4-4-0-lnx64 and jeos-30.0.4-4-lnx64 patches.

and the command -

admin# apply sp-30.0.4-4-0-lnx64 - Applies  jeos-30.0.4-4-lnx64 first and Box will be rebooted at the end of installation, once the box is up after the reboot, apply of sp-30.0.4-4-0-lnx64 will be started.

Thanks  & Regards,

Bharath S

Hi Bharath,

I did the download and apply as suggested, it has gone more than 12 hrs since the apply started(Jan/28/2019 22:20:33). Do I consider the apply as in stuck or it uses to take a longer time than that?

The apply logs (see below) show two apply entries started. I did only manually the second one. Could the download command at its finish triggered an automatic apply at Jan 28 16:59:10?

Hi Daniel ,

Looks like , the JeOS patch is installed properly.

Please execute "sh ver -d "  on adminshell to verify the same.

SP may not be triggered due to multiple attempts if any .

I'll be sending you a query to check on a DB, in Private message , please share the output of the query .

Thanks & Regards,

Bharath S
