Hello,
We are replacing a set of older Brocade switches with N5548UP switches in our data center. At first, we will just be doing Fibre Channel switching on these, and we are going to look at implementing the LAN features later. We ordered 2 5548UPs and also 8 of the N55-8P-SSK9 part number for a total of 64 availible ports. We plan on splitting these between the 5548s for a SAN-A, SAN-B design. When I do a show license I see the FC_Features license in there, but I am unable to create VSANs or configure FC interfaces. I did do the "Slot 1 port 32 type fc" command and a reload, and the ports no longer show up in the configuration. I'm wondering if there is a license that we're missing or some other feature that we're supposed to enable to accomplish this. I haven't done "feature fcoe" yet, but I'm not thinking that I need that, since we're just going native FC.
Thanks in advance for the help.

You will need to do "feature fcoe" for fc interfaces to show up

Thanks,
Is this required even if we're not going to use FCoE?
