Attaching UCS server to HXFI.. not compute-node

Hello.

In hyperflex, I have a question about attaching UCS Server..

The test environment is below.

 - 3EA*AFHX240c

 - HXFI 6332

The rack mounting and cabling already done.

According to Hyperflex configuration, Configuring HX servers require a vCenter, DNS, NTP server.

However, there is no way to connect HXFI to Uplink because the hardware is in a customer site.

Uplink cables has not been installed yet.

So I want to attach C220 M4 to the HXFI and then install ESXi... I think that it is possible that vCenter server can be installed in the ESXi as a Guest VM.

Is it possible to connect the server to HXFI? not compute-node..

Greetings, exkeeping1

Yes, you can connect a C220 M4 to the HXFI and deploy it as a standalone ESXi host

Manually create the service profile for it in the root org and associate it to the C220 M4 server

Ensure the HXFIs and UCSM are at the version required for the HyperFlex version you're testing
