Brocade 7840 to Nexus 5548UP compatibility

Hi,

Is Brocade 7840 compatible to Nexus 5548UP ? 

I have a storage device connected below Brocade 7840. This will be an FC traffic from storage device to Brocade. Brocade will do the FC to IP conversion and forward the traffic to Nexus via VLAN. (This is what is to be achieved)

Thing to remember here : Nexus here is a pure L2 device which is connected to Firewall and send traffic via VLAN.

1.My question here is can Brocade 7840 communicate to Nexus 5548UP via VLAN ?

2. Is Brocade 7840 compatible to Nexus 5548UP ? 

3. Can this solution work ?

Hi Ashwin,

If brocade is doing the FC to IP conversion, then its going to pure IP packet for Nexus and Nexus should be able to process it with no issues.
