Hello there,
I have two Cisco MDS 9148 and I am managing them with Fabric Manager. These switches are not connected to each other.
PROBLEM: When I open one of the fabric, Map on the fabric manager is showing two switches, and I noticed that VSAN WWN of vsan 1(default), is showing on the switch tab when i select the Fabric. As i tried to figure it out the problem, I did some "debug snmp trace" and I found an event, which is not shown in the other MDS Switch(which is working properly).
SNMP Event is shown below:
2011 Apr 6 12:37:38.046498 snmpd: snmp_target_is_allowed_for_vrf: checking for filter criterion[10.10.0.131/2162/0:]
2011 Apr 6 12:37:38.046542 snmpd: Number of filters set:0
2011 Apr 6 12:37:38.046579 snmpd: --snmp_target_vrf_resolv_context_id:Request for 10.10.0.131/2162/0
2011 Apr 6 12:37:38.046662 snmpd: Not found VRF config for target: 10.10.0.131/2162/0
2011 Apr 6 12:37:38.046703 snmpd: l3vm_get_context_id for management returned 0
2011 Apr 6 12:37:38.046741 snmpd: fill_notif_tgt_usm_info : Bad VRF Id resolved for Target: 10.10.0.131/2162/0. Platform does not support context or returned invalid one
I would appreciate your opinion, in order to resolve this issue, which also could help others.

Hi Betim,
2162 is an SNMP trap port, so I don't think it's related to the issue.
Are you seeing a switch for each VSAN?

David

Hi dakester,
You are right, Fabric manager shows a switch for each vsan created on the Fabric, also for the deafult vsan 1.
I have the same switch 9148 and that one works perfect.
find attached screens from Fabric Manager.
Thanks for your assistance,
Betim

Hi,
No, we couldn't fix it still. Anyway, I found out that when i create a community public, switch responds much faster.
I have restored system and kickstart from another same switch that works without any problem, but the problem stands still. Even I upgraded the OS problem exist.
I would appreciate your assistance if you fix your switch.
Regards,
Betim
