MDS9148t upgrade to 9.3(1) without smart license

I have an MDS9148t that I'm planning to upgrade to 9.3(1) or newer. Issue is that I have perpetual license for the ports but release notes says I'll have to move to smart licensing.

Can I simply upgrade the switch without migrating license? This is a standalone switch and I'm not using any special feature. Just the port license it came with.

NX-OS version, 9.2.2 onwards all MDS NX-OS releases are SLP releases. So, if a switch has 9.2.2 on later NX-OS, it will require all smart licenses, no PAK licenses will work with it. Software licenses doesn’t require any activation, the port upgrade license require activation.

Thank you Bhavin for confirmation. Much appreciated.
