Monitoring for low light level on MDS switch

Hi All,

Can anybody advise if it is possible to setup an alerting system for monitoring low light levels on individual SFPs connected to the MDS switches. I have seen alerts crop up in the show logging log, but not sure if we can configure the events to alert?
