QoS and FCC on MDS switches

Hello,

According to the Cisco MDS 9000 Family Configuration Guide, Release 2.x, chapter "Configuring Traffic Management", FCC needs to be enabled to use QoS with DWRR. (To achieve this traffic differentiation, be sure to enable FCC). Do I have to enable FCC to achieve expected results from my QoS configuration? I have a well understanding of both FCC and QoS, but I have problems seeing the obvious link between these?

Yes, FCC needs to be enabled for QoS. FCC gives the MDS's the ability to manage the VOQ's that make QoS work.
