Don't understand; do you have problems with the SFP on the MDS, or the peer side on the storage controller side ?

https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12736436/cisco-5548-version-52-equivalent-command-service-unsupported-transceiver

I am having the problem at the MDS side. Below is the error i am having:

fc1/13 sfp is present but not supported

    Name is CISCO-TYCO

fc1/13 sfp is present but not supported

    Name is CISCO-TYCO

    Manufacturer's part number is 1-2053783-2

    Revision is T

    Serial number is TED1923B5HS

    FC Transmitter type is Unknown(0)

FC Transmitter supports Unknown(0) link length

    Transmission medium is Unknown(0)

    Supported speeds are - Min speed: -1 Mb/s, Max speed: -1 Mb/s

Nominal bit rate is 10300 Mb/s

Looks odd ! nominal bit rate 10300 Mb/s ! this is 10G !

MDS 9148 is a classical FC switch ?

Yes it is..!!

Hi,

part number is 1-2053783-2

type is SFP-H10GB-CU3M

This is a copper 10G Ethernet cable.

Use one of these SFPs:

Are you sure this is a FC SFP ? 4, 8 G ?

If yes, try to use the "service unsupported-transceiver" which is a hidden command (type the full command, no abbreviation).
