Hello!

We got 10 Cisco SG300-20 for using with pro-audio equipment ("Lab.grouppen PLM serries" amplifiers, by using DANTE network) and 2 of them are working incorrectly:

- after pluging system with SG300-20 to power, switch is loading whyle power indicator is flashing and then it ready to work when solid, but after that switch is not respond to any action. I mean that "act" indicators on used ports are flashing and show some activity whyle trying to access configuration web-interface for example, or trying to ping switch by his IP adress.

- then when we wait 40-60 minutes switch starts working and respond to our audio-controllling software and averything is grate till next power off and whaiting more the 1-2 hours, same problem apears.

- By the way 8 others switches are working good, and all 10 of them has same firmware (ver. 1.3.5.58) and configuration. but this problem apears with older firmware

- also hard reset device and reconfiguring it again is not helped.

can we fix it?

Thank You!

  • the best would be to connect PC to switches with console cable and check whole boot process of switch to see what is going on there. based on outputs you can make decision/next steps.or at least additionally check syslog messages once switch is reachable.
  • you can change active switch image (administration -> file management -> active image) to see if it get fixed
  • you can also try to reset unit to factory defaults - through webgui/console/ssh/telnet to see what happen.
  • or another option with upgrading units to latest firmware or re flashing existing image.

Thank you!

we tryed do 2-3 p. of your advice and no changes. We'll try connect to console and figure what happens.

sooner i provide you RAM-logs from good and not good switches (they are different) may be someone can tell what wrong.
