I"m wondering if there is a difference in the POE specs for the C2960S and the C2960X switches. For example here's what the spec sheets say:
C2960C-48LPS-L 24ports at 15W or 48ports at 7.7W (or anything in between)
C2960X-48LPS-L 24ports at 15W
The older C series switch specifically says that you can use any or all of the 48 ports to provide POE as long as you don't exceed the 370W total.
The newer X series doesn't say that. It only says 24p at 15W. Or it says you could do 12p at 30W
I'm thinking the documentation just isn't as specific but I can't verify that.
What I'm trying to accomplish is something like 30 ports at 12W. And I'd like to use the X series switch.
