3850 SSO

In earlier model of 3750, I have used flexlinks on L2 interfaces.

Example:

interface GigabitEthernet1/0/20
description Vlan-10
switchport access vlan 10
switchport mode access
switchport backup interface Gi2/0/20

However, on newer 3850 with OS 16.x.x does not support flexlink.

Can I use SSO to overcome this limitation? Can it be used for L2 interfaces or only on L3 interfaces?

Flex Links are not supported. We recommend that you use spanning tree protocol (STP) as the alternative.
