Hi there,
I'm having some difficulties with a 300 series switch running in L3 mode. I've created two VLANs each with an IP interface both of which are working fine without any problems. The problem I have is when additing a third VLAN and IP interface - for some reason the switch doesn't seem to add the subnet into its routing table as a directly connected route.
The first and second VLANs add correctly. It seems to be the third. I've factory defaulted the switch and still the same. Version is 1.1.2.0.
Setup is as follows:
VLAN1 - 10.20.2.253/24
VLAN2 - 192.168.2.253/24
VLAN3 - 192.168.3.253/24
Ping results are:
switch27b42e#ping 10.20.2.253

Hi Craig,
I don't think your doing anything wrong.
The route command shows that that IP interface for VLAN3 is not connected, or at least nothing is physically plugged into VLAN3.
Plug a PC into VLAN3 and see if the interface route comes up.
I am just guessing that nothing is physically plugged into vlan3.
regards Dave.

Simple as that!
I've just set a port into the VLAN and it now appears in the routing table. I'm kicking myself for not spotting it!
Thanks for your help.
