Hi,

Here's the answer to your query.

  • Blinking system LED is switch's normal behavior in default mode.
  • This show that switch is working on default settings and default IP address - 192.168.1.254.
  • Once the switch is configured with new Ip address the LED will stop blinking showing that the switch is configured and not in default mode.
  • Remove the switch from the LAN (i.e., disconnect all wires from the switch).
  • Hold the reset button in for atleast 30 seconds.
  • After that, check the switch in standalone mode (connect a single laptop with the switch using LAN cable).
  • Disable the wireless connection on the computer and assign the NIC an ip address 192.168.1.10 with a 255.255.255.0 mask and default gateway 192.168.1.254.
  • Try to access the switch (with only the single computer connected).
