I have a Cisco SG200-18 connected to a Comcast Cable Modem / Router.
I have static IP addresses, and each workstation connected to the SG200-18 has a (different) static IP address.
I cannot access the SG200-18 via 192.168.1.254.
Q: How do I access the SG200-18 from a static IP address?
Thank you.

Hi David,
Thank you for posting. Are the static IP addresses in the same subnet as 192.168.1.x? If they are different you may need to change the IP address of the switch.

With the help of Cisco phone support, I have my (part of) the answer to my question.
My Comcast cable modem / router assigns DHCP address from 10.1.10.10 (to 10.1.10.99)
I tried to access the SG200-18 at 10.1.10.10. Did not work.
10.1.10.11 accessed the SG100-18 successfully.
My question remains:
Should I then configure the SG100-18 for 10.1.10.11 as a Static IP address? (It is currently configured as DHCP.)
Thanks.

Hi David,
You can certainly do that. I would use something outside of the DHCP pool, like 10.1.10.9 or 10.1.10.100 to avoid conflict with DHCP devices in the future.
