Hello!! i a facing a certain problem and i would be grateful if someone could help me.
as show in the network photo, my main switch is the dhcp server. i have many vlans configured on my network. the problem is that i created a new vlan for the voip phone (vlan 50) and i want the switch 2 to be the dhcp server for this vlan...i enabled dhcp server, i created the network pool but the phone doesn't get the ip from vlan 50...
i spotted a difference between the 2 switches.
the main switch is 52 port without poe and it has on the ip configuration folder more menus (ex dhcp relay, ipv4 routes) whereas the sg500-52p (poe) doesn't have them...
i did some research and i found that maybe the problem is that the poe switch doesn't support ip dhcp relay...therefor my voip phone cannot obtain an ip because it is on a different vlan from the poe switch...is that correct?
