I have an SGE2010 switch. I have been testing an automated backup process I have setup to determine how much bandwidth it was us ing because I hope to have the backup sent offsite through the internet.
Last week the receive statistics for the port I am interested in was greater than 1GB for the Total Bytes (Octets) field. When I came in this morning the port was reading < 100MB. I assume this means the protocol can only "count" up to a 2GB bit boundary.
Is this correct?
