Hello experts,

today I am getting a strange issue as suddenly all systems got disconnected and getting APIPA IP after some time its working and again creating an issue.

I have 8 unmanaged 100 series switches connected behind the firewall DHCP on firewall.

can not do anything virtually as unmanaged conditions.

you can check L1 troubleshooting and check the uplink cables on each switch somewhere you can find cable connect back on the same switch.

1- Check one by one switch off and check connectivity with the plugin system other switches do this with all switches you will find an issue creating a switch. if the loop is creating.

Thanks,
Jitendra

Hi there,

Do all of the switches connect to the firewall individually or are they aggregated onto a single switch and that one connects to a firewall.

In the switch logs on the switches do you see any mention of the interfaces connected towards the firewall.

Does the firewall show anything in the DHCP service logs relating to the address pools? Do the address pools have short leases configured? Is there enough capacity for the number of connected devices?

cheers,

Seb.

Thanks for the reply...

A single switch is connected to the firewall others are connected one by one.

Unfortunately, those are unmanaged

nothing showing on the DHCP logs.

Thanks, Jitendra Kumar !!!! for your guidance

ooh-- quite hard physical exercise found the problematic switch. on that switch, the cable was not connected back to the same switch. but yes behind switch testing team connected the tp-link switch that was the issue.
