I am researching the capabilities of SG500 regarding TCAM maximum entries. I read somewhere that it is 512 for ipv4 and 512 for ipv6. Will i be able to reallocate the 512 slots of the ipv6 to ipv4 ~ this way i can have 1024. Also how many IPs can the SG500 Hardware switch. is it the same 100 IPs limit as the sg300/SF300??
Thank you

yep, once you increase limit for ipv4, you have proportionally reduce it for ipv6. that operation requires reboot and

one IP = 1 entry in TCAM (neighbor entry). which means that it depends on your IPv4 max limit allocation of TCAM (if with IP you meant IPv4).

I read a post by Tom Watts saying that the SG300 can hardware -switch up to only 100 IPs in the link below and software switch up to 510. so i wanted to know is it about the same number for the sg500 when hardware -switching or is it more since i have around 400+ users and the SG500 will be used as a core switch. I want to make sure that it can otherwise i can buy me a catalyst XR switch
