I have an SG300 switch I need to setup to allow data and voice.

I have never configured voice on a switch and need guidance to allow the voice and data.

Please give me guidance,

Thank you for any and all help.

What kind of phones and voice server?  Do you plan to route between VLANs on the switch or with your firewall/router?

I have got the switch configured but am now facing another issue.

I have a Cisco ATA 186 that is receiving a DHCP address from my internal network instead of the provider server via TFTP.

I need the ATA to get TFTP from an outside IP address at the provider location.

I suspect the port settings on the SG300 are incorrect but do not know what to change at this point.

The provider is Shoretel

An ATA is supposed to get an internal IP the same way an IP phone does.  tftp from outside your network can be tricky though and I suspect that is where your trouble is.

First, does the ATA come up with a valid IP on the native VLAN or the voice VLAN?

Second, have you configured option 66 in your DHCP server with the TFTP address provided by Shoretel and confirmed it is the ATA via web gui?

Last, can you ping the TFTP server from the ATA (or a laptop with an IP in same subnet, VLAN and default gateway)?

If you get through all three of these and it still doesn't work it is likely an issue with your firewall.

The DHCP server is in the Shoretel network.

I suspect this is their way of forcing us to rent an ATA from them preconfigured with the settings.

I have connected to our vlan through the web interface and attempted to configure the device with Shoretel settings but after disconnecting the device and restarting it, the settings revert to our subnet.

I have not checked the Firewall yet but will.

Thank you for the reply, I truly appreciate it.
