Hi there,
Please excuse my ignorance, as I have no familiarity with Cisco products.
I have a Cisco series 200 switch, and I'm trying to open a few TCP ports (81, 8097, 8098 and a few others) on it, so that I can communicate with my NAS. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to do this, on this switch.
Will someone please advise me on how to do this, or point me towards some documentation?
Thanks in advance!
Jay

Hi Jay
Assuming the switch is in its default configuration then it will not be blocking any ports unless someone has configured it to do so. I am not even sure if the 200 series can block ports.
If you can ping your NAS from a PC/Laptop then all ports should be open between them.
Thanks

Hi Devil's,
Thanks for the response. I appreciate it. I do believe you're right. I think that my router was blocking the ports, that I'd previously opened. I was able to resolve the issues.
Thanks.
