SF300 24P Help

My company has two SF300 24P switches. We need to gain access to them to make changes. I have tried to track down who manages them, but I keep hitting walls and I'm being told that the are out of warranty. No one will help us. Cisco wants us to purchase a contract or something. 

I have tried a default IP that I found online; 192.168.1.254 but that doesn't work.

Is there a way that we can gain access to these switches? I need the dumbed down version please.
