Hi,

I'm looking for information about a SMB switch SG300-20 with version hardware V03 because I don't find any information about it on Cisco website.

Even the firmwares release notes for this family of switches clearly indicate that there are two revision of hardware V01 and V02, howevever mine is V03 as also written on the back of the unit PIN VID.

What are the: Total number of MAC addresses, total number of active VLAN's, total number of multicast groups for this revision of hardware??

And also is the firmware 1.4.0 compatible with this revision of hardware?

Can someone gently help me find an answer?

Many thanks

Hello,

The 300 series datasheet data is also applicable to SG300 hardware version V03.

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/small-business-smart-switches/data_sheet_c78-610061.html

Internet Group ManagementProtocol (IGMP) versions 1, 2, and3 snooping

IGMP limits bandwidth-intensive multicast traffic to only the requesters; supports 1K multicast groups (source-specific multicasting is also supported)

MAC table

Up to 16K (16384) MAC addresses

VLAN

Support for up to 4096 VLANs simultaneously Port-based and 802.1Q tag-based VLANs MAC-based VLAN

Firmware 1.4.0 is compatible with this hardware version.

Thanks for your reply,

however can  you please give me some more informations about this V03 revision of hardware?

Following what is written in the release notes of the 1.4.0 firmware, different hardware revisions have different specs.

Release Notes for 200, 300, 500, and ESW2 Series Switches Software Version 1.4.0

"This firmware runs on two different versions of hardware for the 200 Series Smart Switches, and the 300 Series Managed Switches. There is a single version of hardware for the 500 and ESW2 series switches. The number of supported MAC Addresses, Active VLANs, and Multicast Groups will be different depending on which version of hardware you are using. Refer to the following table for details:"

and above.

So my question regarding the the V03 revision is: what number of supported MAC Addresses, Active VLANs, and Multicast Groups does the HW VID=03 revision have?

Many thanks for your support
