SG300-28P: DHCP fails to assign IP to some NICs

Hello,

I've the SG300 configured in L3 mode, with 5 VLANs each having its own DHCP pool. Everything works as expected. However, my QNAP TS419-PII is not able to pull IP address on both of it's NICs. Note that if I move the DHCP to my RV042 router, IPs are asigned properly.

Is anyone aware of this issue with SG300? I have FW 1.4.0.88 on the switch.

Is there some configuration required in terms of DHCP options?

Regards,

-Nishant

Nishant,

Just a couple questions to guide you in the right direction.

Do the Nics have static ip addresses? If without a static can you try one Nic at a time and see if they pull ip?

Try rebooting the QNAP to force a DHCP discover.

How is the port on SG300 configured where the QNAP connects?

If everything has been tried. We could do a port mirror on a specific port of the SG300 to collect Wireshark packet captures and analyze DHCP requests and offers. Hope this helps you!!
