I have two SG300-28P (SRW2024P) switches and one seems to be dead. When plugged in, the fans turn on, the power comes on, and the port LEDs light for a split second just like it is supposed to do. But, there is no console response and one, sometimes two of the port LEDs light and stay on even though nothing is plugged in to any of the ports.
For the one that works, I can setup Putty, connect a serial cable to the console port, then when it is powered on, I get:
Boot1 Checksum Test....PASS
Boot2 Checksum Test....PASS
and so on. Eventually getting to a user login so I know Putty is correct, Baud rate, cable, etc. all work.
For the one that does not work I don't even get the Boot1 Checksum text displayed in the Putty window.
I have a hardware shop with Fluke, Techtronix, etc. test equipment.
How can I find information to get this fixed? Any information on test points, connection to JP7, etc will be greatly appreciated.
Anyone with an old mother board laying around?
I can sign an NDA if needed.
Thanks.
