SG300 - MAB authentication with NPS 2012R2

Dear all,

introducing 802.1x authentication, I have the problem to use MAB -  mac adress authentication to a NPS 2012R2 server.

The switch is sending the userid and password (the macaddress) with MD5 encryption, but on NPS Eap-Md5 is not supported.

Is there a way to authenticate with NPS sending cleartext userid/password?  Or does someone know how to make the Mac Authentication Bypass with NPS ?

Set EAP type to MD5-Challenge in the NPS policy.

Enable "Store password using reversible encryption" for the user and reset user's password.
