SG300/SG500: Upgrade procedure from version 1.3.0.62 to latest 1.4.0.88

Hi Team,

Can someone share which are the correct steps to upgrade 2 switches (SG300-52P/SG500-28P) from active version: 1.3.0.62 both SG300/500 to latest 1.4.0.88?

Thanks!

Best regards,

Neyton

Hello,

If you are already running 3.0.6.2 then you can go to 1.3.5 and then to 1.4.0.8.

On the SG300 you will have to upgrade the boot code on 1.3.5 using a tftp server (I would recommend tftpd32), then you can upgrade to 1.4.0.88.

On the SG500, you will have to upgrade the boot code twice, 1 in version 1.3.5 and then again on version 1.4.0.8.

Here is a document showing how to do the firmware upgrade via tftp, you can use the same procedure to upgrade the boot code (.rfb file)
