SG500 Stacking

I am about to stack a SG500-28 switch to an existing SG500-28.  Both are in native stack mode.  Will it reboot the exisiting SG500-28 that is in production?  Do I need to plan for downtime for this?

Hello SuperIT,

Yes. It will reboot and may even try to synchronize firmware between those two if different. It is the must to allocate some downtime for this. Make a not also that some configuration need to be erased for example ports ID will change once stacked... Better to allocate some time to verify that everything works es expected.

Aleksandra
