SG500XG-8F8T 16-Port 10-Gigabit Stackable Managed Switches - slow ping times

Hi,

I have 2 brand new

SG500XG-8F8T 16-Port 10-Gigabit Stackable Managed Switches.

However, I am having problems with one of them.

Both have has been configured the same. i.e.

New IP’s

Default gateway

DNS

IP routing configured

SNTP configured

When I run a continuous ping to one of them, the ping times are very slow.

When I ping the other switch it’s OK.

I can confirm nothing else is plugged into the switch other than my laptop.

I have done a factory reset on the switch and it is still has a problem.

I have notice when I reboot the switch it is OK for about 1 hour before the ping times slows.

Please see my attached screen shots.

Has anyone see this error before and how can I resolve it?

Thanks

James

Hi James,

This is really long time. Please double check if those two switches are running the latest boot code. I could also recommend you to test outside the network and perhaps even with default configuration.

Those switches have also show tech-support which may be useful.

It would be good idea to open ticket with Small Business Support team:

Aleksandra

Following on from my msg above:

I have tried different network cables.

I am patch directly into the switch.

Yes I have enabled IP routing to route across vlans.

Here are the running config of the switches.

For the problem switch to show a running config took 40 mins to print. Its only took seconds for the OK switch to print the running config. Could it be a hardware issue with the switch?

Thanks,

James
