hi guys,

during some testing of a SG550XG I`ve detected some questions, which I was`nt able to figure neither with the CLI nor the Admin Guide...

in the DEFAULT configuration there`re some lines which I do not understand (= because I´ve not build up a stack yet...):

unit-type-control-start
unit-type unit 1 network te uplink none
unit-type unit 2 network te uplink none
unit-type unit 3 network te uplink none
unit-type unit 4 network te uplink none
unit-type unit 5 network te uplink none
unit-type unit 6 network te uplink none
unit-type unit 7 network te uplink none
unit-type unit 8 network te uplink none

also the default port-channel interfaces I do not understand the purpose, why are they pre-configured?!

Ch       Type    Duplex  Speed  Neg      control  State
-------- ------- ------  -----  -------- -------  -----------
Po1         --     --      --      --       --    Not Present
Po2         --     --      --      --       --    Not Present
Po3         --     --      --      --       --    Not Present

.

.

.

would appriciate it, if someone could explain this to me :)

R: It is normally on this model, because this support stack.

Po1 -- -- -- -- -- Not Present
Po2 -- -- -- -- -- Not Present
Po3 -- -- -- -- -- Not Present

It is pre-configured on web interface. But if you dont apply it on any interface, do not will have any fuctions.
