SRW2048 How to Configure Static Routes?

All of the product literature on the Cisco web site states that the SRW2048 can be configured with a limited number of static routes. Can someone please tell me how to do this? It's not in the manual!

I have a dead 3550 switch and I'm considering hooking the SRW2048 switch up to replace it. This will be at a branch office that also has a small router with T1s. Here's the plan:

Fiber connection to main office --> GBIC in SRW2048 --> ethernet to Router --> T1 to subsite

So you can see that the switch will need to know about the subnets that the router serves on the T1s.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Mr. Pitchford,

Are you referring to the sg300-50 switch, which has a product id of SRW2048-K9?

If that is the case, you would have to put the switch in layer 3 mode via the console or telnet.

Once in layer three mode you can go to ip configuration and make static routes.

You will also be able to put ip addresses on vlans, ports or lags in the switch.

The srw2048 will not do layer 3 mode but the sf or sg300 series  switches will support it.
