I've seen this before, came up again today.
CBS350-24p-4g running v3.5.0.26
I'm unable to change the host name using gui or cli.
Using cli the switch accepts the change, the cursor prompt never changes, write, show run and the host name is unchanged.
Using the GUI, change reverts when clicking the "save" button.
Hostname is 31 characters, same result using a 7 character hostname.
EDIT:
After a reload the host name is changed. Is a reload supposed to be required to change the host name?
