Professionally i have been using cisco switches for 10+ years. So i bought a sg100-16 for home. But where can i find the reset button? As i can remember there is always a reset button on the front near the power LED (Led is brining continuous green).
I cannot find it on the back, and not on the front. On the internet i cannot seem to find anything for a factory reset. And there is no serial port at the back. So i might be missing something, could someone point me in the right direction.

Hi Roland,
SG100 is an unmanaged switch and does not have a reset button. You can only restart/power cycle the device from the power plug. There is really no configuration that runs on the device neither you can configure something.

Thankyou for the reply!
Ok, i remember i have setup a ip adress for this switch, i just dont remember what. So i figured to reset the switch. Ooohh.. wait a minute. (AHA erlebnis) I bought a 24 port switch (SG200-26) from cisco after this switch, so i had some more ports at my disposal.
Whetever i do, i just plug it in and it works? ohh dear... i did not remember this one.
So i figure that port 1 will be the uplink to my router then?

Hi Roland,
Yes, you can choose whichever port you wish for an uplink.
