I am looking for a high density 10Gbase-T aggregation switch (preferably stackable), which can deliver 10Gbase-T (up to 100m) to distribution switches (also preferably stackable)
For example, the Nexus 7000 has line cards for 48port 10Gbase-T, but are there other models (perhaps fixed configuration stackable) that support such density?
On the distribution switch side, 10Gbase-T uplinks (at least two) with gigabit and PoE (24/48port density) and stackability are required. This speaks to the 3850, but is there an uplink module for the 3850 that supports 10Gbase-T (2 or 4 ports)?
I see references to such a module for the 3750 series, but not the 3850.
I understand that using optics/twinax for 10G connectivity is preferred (obviously), but the existing cabling infrastructure is Cat7 and distances of up to 80m.
So I'm wondering if someone can point me to some Cisco products that match these requirements, as I have not been able to find them myself.
Many thanks,

Most uplinks are fiber but if you want to use the 3850 series (10Gig), you have a couple of options:
1-Use media converters to convert from fiber to copper at each end
2-Use the last 2 copper ports as uplinks. So, on a 24 port, use 22 for user-facing and 2 for uplink and the same for 48 port.

Are there SFP+ modules for 10Gbase-T for the 3850? That was part of the question.
I can't seem to find them on Cisco's site.
Thanks for your reply,

You can use DAC cables but the max distance is 10 meters.

Hi Leo,
Cat 6a supports 10Gig up to 100 meters.
