I know that the 1941W has gone EOL and the replacement is a standard 1941 with an external AP. Does the AP need to be autonomous?
Thanks

HI Amar,
The Cisco 1941 supports dual radios - 802.11 b/g/n and 802.11a/n and is capable of operating in both autonomous and unified modes.

Hi Sandeep,
That's what I got from the data sheet also. There needs to be a controller of some sort if we are to use it in unified mode?
Thanks,
Amar

Hi Amar,
Yes, you need a controller in Unified Mode.
I think these are called as Embeded AP.
