Good evening,
I have 2-9200Ls stacked together in IDF1 closet and 2-9200Ls stacked together in IDF2 closet. I recently had something happen at the same time last week and I lost 140 ports for approx. 5 minutes. My cameras on the active and standby switch on the stack in IDF-1 went down and the cameras on the active switch in IDF-2 dropped. Out of both stacks, only the standby switch in IDF2 stayed up. Each closet is independent of each other, their on separate power supply's, on separate circuits and separate vlan's. My IT department is on the same circuit as me and they didn't lose any of their equipment. We also have backup UPS generators which didn't kick on so I don't think this was a power issue. The logs show the active switch was removed on both stacks at the same time. Has anyone witness this before. I compared my show techs to a show tech taken a few months prior and it looks like the active switch is now in standby and what was in standby is now in active, like the swapped places. I read about a reboot bug and I'm currently on version 16.9.3. What's the odds the same issue caused both stacks of switches to reboot. Why did one standby switch stay up but the other didn't when they are basically configured the exact same. It's very unlikely to have 2 separate stacks of switches reboot at the same time and it's left me very confused. Ideas?
ā07-12-2022 01:56 PM
I forgot to add the last 12 LED status lights for 1/0/37 - 48 don't light up at all. All my cameras on those ports are working correctly just no status lights at all.
ā07-12-2022 03:54 PM
Post the complete output to the following commands:
ā07-13-2022 02:37 PM
The show logs on IDF2 doesn't go back as far as IDF1 did. I took a show tech report on the day of the actual outage and noticed it showed the active switch was removed from both stacks so I'm assuming if the show log from IDF2 went back as far it would look similar to the show log for IDF1.
