2500 Series IOS

What is the limit to the IOS that you can run on the EOL 2500 series routers. I have heard up to 12.2 but have also heard people running 12.3. I want to run 12.3T on all my routers in my lab but im not sure if you can run it on the 2500 series routers.

All my routers are maxed out 16mb flash/16mb system memory and all have bootstrap software version 11.0 except one. That particular on is running bootstrap software 5.0

Any help is appreciated

Thank you

Scott

Scott,

12.3 is available for 2500 routers, just that you wont get a lot of feature sets (especially crypto or voip feature sets - Anyway VOIP is not supported on 2500s)

The available feature sets are IP only, IP Plus and REMOTE ACCESS SERVER...IP Plus should satisfy most of your lab requirements (probably including IPV6) except for crypto maps (IPSEC)..The latest train of IOS available in 12.3 is 12.3.12(LD) - You can download this from CCO Software center, with a CCO login and password. Here is a direct link to the downloads page (of course you will need CCO login)

Shanky, thank you for the quick response.

Looks like IP plus feature set is what I need. Thank you again!
