2620Xm and a nm-2fe2w

I am having difficulty getting these two to play nicely. My router has 128 memory and 32 flash. Thr card has a solid light until the ios finishes booting and then it dims. I have the 12.4T advanced enterprise ios. Exact IOS escapes me right now but all I should require is the 12.2(8)T IOS. On boot IOS reports an Unknown device. Show diag provides the card information and part number but lists the port disabled (216). Has any one gotten these devices to work together? If so, could you tell me the IOS that worked? Is there something special that has to be done for this card to be installed? Thank you very much!

Hi Andy,

It seems the said network module is unsupported in 2600/2600XM platform.

I was reading this,

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/routers/ps259/product_data_sheet09186a00801aa71c.html

Looking at it seems like it would be compatible, Is table five only refering to the 2m? Do you have any recommendation on how to get an additional FastEthernet port? I am studying for my CCNA and would like to get connectivity to my Cable internet. I actually have 2 2620XM's thank you!

Hi,

It looks like there might be some inconsistencies in the docs. Did you try to install it on the other router and was able to detect it?

Otherwise you can opt for an NM-1E. Was recently browsing through the 2600XM series and I always go for at least 2 FE ports. I'm eyeing for an 2651XM for a FR switch or terminal server.
