2811 router IOS 15 licensing ?

Hello, I have a 2811 router which is running IOS 12.3(8r)T7.

I want to install IOS 15 into it using "c2800nm-adventerprisek9-mz.151-4.M5.bin"

My question is, when I replace the IOS with the file above file, will I need to activate it with a key or similar before I can use it ?

In particular I want to use CME 8 that comes with that IOS 15 image.

Hi,

The ISR G1 routers (2800, 3800 series) don't use license.  The licensing changes applies to G2 routers (2900, 3900 series).

It mentions te 2811 router supports "Software Activation of Gatekeeper".

What is that referring to exactly ?
