Is the 2940 dis-continued? IF so, What are the benefits by going with the 2960-24TC-L.

Hi Kant,
2940 is not end of sale. But 2940 is a workgroup switch where you can use to connect less number of users and its backplane capacity is restricted to 3.6 GBPS.

2960 is an enterprise switch providing 16 GBPS backplane capacity and support enhanced QOS and many advance features.
