Hi im fairly new to cisco and im currently trying to use a DHCP server to connect all my clients to. the basic set up i have at the moment is
server 192.169.0.254
switch- no ip
wireless router 192.168.1.254
1 client requires dhcp
without the router it works fine but with it the dhcp fails the packets are stopped by the switch. i need the wireless aspect of the network implemented and have already put in my project plan that i will use a dhcp server not the dhcp on the router.
i have tried configuring the IP address of the switch using the cli but it throws an error marker at the start of the command. (under the i)
what am i doing wrong?
