2960-X Vlans

Hello Cisco Community.

I need to purchase three stack-able switches for our new remote office.  I am looking at the 2960-X LAN Base models (WS-C2960X-48FPS-L).  The distributor that I am using told me that I can only have one default gateway and 16 VLANs????

This is a remove branch that connects to our DC via an iPSec tunnel provided by my FortiGates.  I do not need any type of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).  I know it does not do dynamic routing and am okay with having to do static routing for everything.

I think the re-seller is just trying to up sale me.

As long as this stack is L2 and static routing this model ok with Lanbase.

Your distributor mixed up two different things. I assume he was thinking about the number of static routes when routing is activated on these devices. There you can only have 16 static routes on the 2960-X which should also be not a relevant limit in your scenario.
