Hi, is it possible to disable the stacking mode on a catalyst 2960x?
There is no stacking module but the stacking state is always ready:
Switch# Role Mac Address Priority Version State
----------------------------------------------------------
*1 Master 3462.8854.9400 1 4 Ready
WS-C2960X-48LPS-L and WS-C2960X-24PS-L
15.0(2)EX5 C2960X-UNIVERSALK9-M
tks!

Hi,
As long as you don't have any stacking cable connecting multiple switches together the switch is stand alone. There is no command to disable that.

My probleme is when its time to monitor these switch. With Prime Infrasructure and Solarwinds, when the 2960X are set up in a stacking mode, the device type shows up as :
Prime = Cisco Catalyst 2960S
SolarWinds = C29XXStack
instead of: WS-C2960X-48LPS-L and WS-C2960X-24PS-L

This is not a switch issue. This is most likely an issue with Prime.
SolarWinds (NMP) version 11.0.1displays the 2960x correctly.

Hi,
It's problem with Device Packs in Prime Infrastructure, you might need to update them.
Which version of prime you're using?

I use Prime 2.1 (2.1.0.0.87) and Solarwinds 11.0.1
