3500 xl: Config file doesn't contain Gigabit 0/2

I consoled into the switch to setup a link between the switch and another 3500 xl switch through GBIC's, and when I went to access the GigabitEthernet 0/2 it doesn't recognize the port. Also when I show config it is missing from the file. Is there a way to get it back?

I'm suspecting the Loopback controller for Gi0/2 has failed.
