I am seeing a lot of discarded packets on the 3550...they stem from one of the 3560's...I have not set up traffic suppresion or control...there are not any excessive multicast or unicast frames on the network...any ideas?

Are the discarded packets on the input queue or output queue ?

I appreciate the help. However, I found the source of the discarded packets. In the source switch, I had an old VLAN which did not exist in the destination. As soon as I removed the VLAN, the discarded packets disappeared.

Are you running spanning tree and is this a blocked port?

Thanks...I found the culprit. I have an old VLAN I overlooked in the source switch. I removed it and the discarded packets disappeared. Thanks...
