3550 support object tracking?

Im trying to see if my 3550 supports me being able to track if a particular IP Address is available or not, so that I can change routing based on that. This sits on a LAN and Id like to base routing on whether two destinations are available or not, but the destinations are beyond the perimeter edge. Any idea if you can do that with a 3550?

AFAIK, 3550 doesn't support object tracking. As far as your 2nd question goes, object tracking can track destination(s) anywhere as long as you have IP reachability and it doesn't have to be within your network. If you have a firewall sitting between your inside and perimeter device then make sure the access rules on the firewall allow the tracking traffic is allowed both ways.
