Hi,
I have configured /31 ip on a vlan interface of cisco 3560. I can see arp of the device but can't ping and can't access to the device on the other side. the device can ping everything and does have access everything.
here is conf:
interface Vlan112
ip address 172.16.31.2 255.255.255.254
interface FastEthernet0/5
switchport access vlan 112
switchport mode access
I used to have 3550 and everything worked fine.
any help?

Hi,
First you check the link is up or not, if it is up then it should ping. Make sure that other end also in same subnet mask. One more thing only new version is supporting /31 and check that version it will support /31 or not.
Thanks,
Krishna.

When you say you can see the ARP, are you saying that the ARP entry is present in the ARP cache or there is just an ARP request?

Yes the ARP entry is in the cache. The device on the port side works fine. It can access anywhere. Both int vlan112 and int f0/5 are up.
IOS is: c3560-advipservicesk9-mz.122-40.SE
