Are Cisco switches blocking multicast by default?

I have one L3 and eight L2 switches with static ports, 802.1q trunks and VTP set to transparent.

The phone system I'm using relays on multicast for PnP configuration, but it works only on few phones.

So, if multicast is blocked or altered in some way, how can I reconfigure it??

Hi,

By default multicast frames are flooded on all ports.
